Big Wolf on Campus (1999 - 2002)

Being a teen in the late 90s wouldn’t be complete without some supernatural action. The history of teens becoming part of the supernatural world has a long list of TV shows, like Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Roswell, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. From 1999-2002, a Canadian addition called Big Wolf on Campus graced TV sets across the country on YTV. Tommy Dawkins (Brandon Quinn) is starting his senior year of high school in his hometown of Pleasantville. Things were looking up for him until a wolf bites him on a camping trip. He soon realizes the bite has turned him into a werewolf, and he must deal with the challenges that come with his new lycanthropic nature plus your everyday teen issues.

Along with a major crush on the most popular girl in school, Stacey (Rachelle Lefevre), he befriends Merton (Danny Smith), a nerd obsessed with the occult and pop culture fun facts about horror. Together, they figure out his wolfy powers, and Tommy becomes the protector of Pleasantville. They fight teen bad boy vampires, fall for werewolf hunters and even help banish a locker demon. Big Wolf on Campus also includes some notable appearances like Canadian greats Louis Del Grande, star of the cult series Seeing Things, Meagan Follows, our very own Anne of Green Gables, and yes, even the two Coreys (Haim and Feldman) make an appearance. The gags are goofy, the angst is real, and the boys are always mere steps away from supernatural silliness and mayhem.
