Jointly developed by American studio Toys for Bob and Quebec City-based Beenox, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is the long awaited new entry in the series. Following in the footsteps of the Crash Bandicoot franchise was a tough challenge, especially considering that it didn’t see an actual new game since 1998.
The end results is a highly colourful game worthy of its past entries. Crash, the most famous Bandicoot of the history of video games is back to save not only the universe but also the multiverse. And he won’t be alone to accomplish this herculean task. The game alternates between him and his sister Coco, his former enemy Dingodile, an alternate dimension counterpart of Crash’s ex-girlfriend Tawna and even his archenemy Doctor Neo Cortex. How about that for a dream team?
Although the gameplay is a modern take on a classic, it’s accessible enough so that series veterans and newcomers will enjoy their journey to collect the Quantum Masks. Furthermore, as it is the case with many other games of the last decade, you can unlock and apply filters once you finish the game for more replayability.
