LongStory is an LGBTQ-friendly visual novel with dating simulator mechanics that takes place in a high school. Players get to choose their name and pronouns before they start to navigate life at their new high school, which is populated with characters who can become friends or love interests.
I found LongStory to be a soothing game that was easy to curl up with and play—sort of like a good book. I would especially recommend this game for teens who might want to explore certain facets of their identity, like trying on new pronouns, with the comfort of a welcoming fictional layer.
My favourite character is the school mascot—if you decide to play, you’ll see why.
