Gemma is a brilliant roboticist who invented M3GAN: a lifelike doll meant to be both a friend and guardian to children. When Gemma is left to babysit her niece, she leaves her in the hands of a prototype. Her decision becomes deadly when the robot starts to take her role a bit too seriously. The AI babysitter is brought to life with the help of Montreal-based Makeup Visual Effects artist, Adrien Morot, and Toronto-based Fathom FX.
