Based on the novel of the same name, Scarborough depicts the lives of three low-income families living in Toronto’s east end. Bing, Sylvie, and Laura are three children who attend a morning school program together. The three-time Canadian Screen Awards winner follows the students throughout the school year, as program leader Ms. Hina tries to provide support as the children’s lives become increasingly complicated when their families confront the challenges of poverty, addiction, and debt.
