Unlike the two previous entries for this reboot, Shadow of the Tomb Raider was mainly developed by Eidos-Montréal, the talented team behind Deus Ex Human Revolution and its sequel Mankind Divided. Crystal Dynamics was there to provide additional development.
The story takes place two months after the events of Rise of the Tomb Raider. Lara Croft is dedicated to stopping the paramilitary organization Trinity from acquiring ancient artifacts. Her ultimate adventure will lead her into Mexico, through various temples and old archeological sites.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is still as visceral as the previous games but this time stealth plays a major role. The quieter your eliminations, the easier your progression will be. You can also go out in the open but your enemies have a far more advanced arsenal than you so it’s a lot harder to move forward this way.
The game is also beautiful than ever thanks to the incredible development team and features excellent performances from both the voice and motion capture actors.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is available PC, MacOs, Linux, Google Stadia, PS4 and Xbox One.
