Young outlaw Nat Love (Jonathan Majors) learns that his long-time enemy Rufus Buck (Idris Elba) is being released from prison. He gathers his gang to join his deadly search while Rufus rebuilds a crew of his own with “Treacherous” Trudy Smith (Regina King) and Cherokee Bill (LaKeith Stanfield).
Loosely based on the stories of real cowboys and outlaws from the nineteenth-century American West, The Harder They Fall is one of few westerns that explore the Black cowboy experience.
