Women Talking (2022)

Based on Miriam Toews’s 2018 novel of the same name, Women Talking follows the women of an isolated religious colony who discover a shocking reality about their world: for years, the men in their community have been using cow tranquilizers to subdue and take advantage of the women and girls. Some men are caught and arrested by nearby authorities for their crimes, and the rest head into town to bail out the attackers, leaving the women alone. Together, they must decide to stay and fight or make an escape for a new life.
